Privacy Policy

Compoundex processes your personal data only as described here, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the "GDPR") and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

1. Who we are

The data controller is Compoundex, operated by Alejandro García Stampa, based in Madrid, Spain. For any privacy question you can contact us at [email protected].

2. Data we collect

  • Account data: your name, email and membership status.
  • Billing data: your plan and transaction records. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are never stored by us.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, device and browser type, IP address and approximate location.
  • Communications: messages you send us and your newsletter preferences.

3. Why we process it, and our legal basis

  • To provide the service and your membership: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)).
  • To process payments and prevent fraud: contract and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f)).
  • To send educational updates: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
  • To secure and improve the platform: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • To meet legal and accounting duties: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)).

4. Sharing with providers

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the providers that operate the platform on our behalf, each under a data-processing agreement: our hosting and membership provider, our payment processor, and our email provider. Each acts only on our instructions.

5. International transfers

Where a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, that transfer is protected by an adequacy decision or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. Retention

We keep your account data for as long as you hold an account and for a reasonable period afterwards, and we keep billing records for the period required by Spanish law. Data we no longer need is deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

You may access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your data, object to certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time by writing to us at [email protected]. We will respond to any such request within the period required by applicable data-protection law.

8. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to run the service and, with your consent, cookies for preferences and analytics. You can manage these through our cookie banner and your browser settings.

9. Minors

In Spain a minor may consent to data processing from the age of 14. Below that age a parent's or guardian's authorisation is required, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 14.

10. Security and changes

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, though no transmission over the internet is ever entirely secure. We may update this policy from time to time, and the current version always governs your use of the service.

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to the Compoundex website and its content. By using the site, you accept them.

1. Educational content only

All content on Compoundex, including our valuations, models, analyses and the Portfolio Journal, is provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not investment advice, not a personalised recommendation, and not a solicitation to buy or sell any security. Compoundex is not licensed or regulated by the CNMV or any financial authority. Always do your own research and consider seeking independent professional advice.

2. Intellectual property

The content, models, design and brand are owned by Compoundex or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view and use them for your own personal, non-commercial learning. You may not copy, redistribute, resell or publish them, in whole or in part, without our written permission.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for any activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and must not share paid access with others.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site. That means no attempts to breach security, no scraping or bulk-downloading of content, no disruption of the service, and no unlawful use.

5. Third-party sources

Our figures are drawn from public and third-party sources, including company filings on SEC EDGAR and financial data providers. While we take care with accuracy, we do not warrant that all information is complete or error-free, and every figure is shown as of a stated date.

6. Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, Compoundex is not liable for any investment decision made in reliance on its content, nor for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, and any dispute is subject to the competent Spanish courts, without affecting your mandatory rights as a consumer.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern paid membership of Compoundex. They apply in addition to the Terms of Use above.

1. The membership and its two plans

Compoundex is offered on two annual membership plans:

  • Full membership. Access to everything on the platform: all learning topics, the equity-research analyses and models, the Portfolio Journal, the Compoundex Machine, and Compoundex Studio, our complete content library in audio.
  • Membership without audio. Access to everything above except Compoundex Studio, the audio library.

Both plans are billed once per year and are subject to these terms. Where a feature is described as forthcoming, it becomes available to eligible members on release at no additional charge.

2. Price, free trial and billing

For founding members, meaning the first one hundred people to join, the yearly price is €37 for the Full membership and €28 for the membership without audio. Every plan begins with a 7-day free trial, and you are not charged until the trial ends.

Founding members keep their founding price for as long as their membership remains continuously active, even as prices rise for members who join later. All prices are stated per year and are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Payment is taken by our payment processor at the end of the free trial, and membership renews automatically each year unless you cancel before the renewal date.

3. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

As an EU consumer you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because membership gives you immediate access to digital content, when you start to use it you ask for immediate access and acknowledge that you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once access begins, as permitted under the Consumer Rights Directive. The free trial lets you evaluate the service before you are ever charged.

4. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

5. Changes to the service or price

We may update or improve the service over time. If we change the price for future renewals, we will give you clear notice in advance. The founding price is honoured for as long as your membership remains continuously active, exactly as set out in section 2.

6. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms or the Terms of Use. When access ends, your licence to use the content ends with it.

7. Educational content, not advice

For the avoidance of doubt, membership provides educational content and independent research only. It is not investment advice and creates no advisory relationship. Compoundex does not manage money, hold client assets, or execute trades.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law, without affecting your mandatory consumer rights.
